Alpha E-Tec Fault Codes

Faults show as E-prefixed codes on the display: low numbers for the fundamental faults (ignition, overheat, sensors), with E10 for low system pressure the one owners meet most. Alpha's code scheme is Immergas-derived and consistent across the modern range, and the E-Tec's popularity means UK engineers have become thoroughly fluent in it. Where E-Tec fault codes appear
The E-Tec has a compact digital display (LCD with icons) showing temperature in normal running and an E-prefixed code on a fault. Record the number exactly — Alpha packs distinct diagnoses into neighbouring numbers, and E1 (ignition lockout) leads somewhere quite different from E10 (pressure).
Resetting a Alpha E-Tec
Press the reset button on the fascia briefly; the boiler clears and retries. E10 wants the system topped up to about 1–1.5 bar via the filling loop first.
