Ariston 103
Ariston fault code 103 signals that the boiler has detected insufficient water circulation through the heating system. Specifically, the flow temperature is climbing too rapidly — faster than 7°C per second — which tells the boiler's safety logic that not enough water is moving around the circuit to carry heat away safely. Without adequate flow, the heat exchanger risks overheating and sustaining permanent damage, so the boiler locks out to protect itself. This fault is closely related to codes 104–107, which all fall under the same 'insufficient circulation' family on Ariston boilers; code 103 is the most frequently seen of the group and is typically the starting point for diagnosis. The fault appears across the full range of Ariston combi and system boilers, including the E-Combi, E-System, Clas, and Genus ranges.
