Heatline F01
When your Heatline boiler displays F01, it has detected a problem with the return heating temperature sensor — also called the return NTC thermistor. This small electronic component monitors the temperature of water flowing back into the boiler from your heating system. It works by changing its electrical resistance as temperature rises or falls, feeding that data continuously to the boiler's control board (PCB). If the sensor becomes disconnected, fails electrically, or sends a reading outside the expected range, the boiler has no reliable way to monitor return water temperature and locks out immediately as a safety precaution. The fault is common across the Heatline Capriz and Capriz Plus combi boiler ranges, which share their technology platform with Vaillant Group products. In most cases the fix is straightforward — a loose connector or a failed NTC sensor — and the boiler can be back up and running after a single engineer visit.
