What does the Ideal FL fault code mean?
The FL fault code (sometimes displayed as F/L or LF) on Ideal boilers indicates that the boiler's control board has failed to detect a stable burner flame. Either the flame never properly established during the ignition sequence, or it went out unexpectedly shortly after lighting. As a safety precaution, the boiler shuts itself down to prevent unburnt gas from accumulating — a perfectly normal protective response, but one that needs investigating before the boiler can run reliably again.

How to fix it
