What does the Intergas F001 fault code mean?

The F001 code means your Intergas boiler has detected that its temperature climbed dangerously high while trying to heat your home, and has shut itself down as a safety precaution. This is known as a lockout — the boiler will not restart until the underlying cause is resolved and the fault is cleared. On older Intergas models such as the HRE, Rapid, and Compact, this same fault may appear simply as the digit '1' on the display rather than 'F001'; the cause and fix are identical regardless of how it is shown.

  1. Bleed your radiators to release any trapped air DIY safe
