Ideal Vogue Fault Codes
The Ideal Vogue — now sold as the Vogue Max in combi and system versions — is Ideal's premium range, sitting above the Logic with a stainless steel heat exchanger, higher outputs and longer warranties (up to 12 years registered). It shares Ideal's compact fault-code language, so knowledge transfers directly from the Logic: F1 is still low pressure, L2 still flame-loss lockout. The Vogue's premium build changes the fault statistics more than the fault meanings. The stainless heat exchanger shrugs off water-quality sins that age aluminium ones, and the components are specified for longer life — so a Vogue tends to show fewer wear codes per year of service. When codes do appear, the diagnosis paths are the familiar Ideal ones, and the long warranty should be your first call for anything significant. Each code links to its full page below.
Where Vogue fault codes appear
The Vogue Max has a larger, clearer display than the Logic, showing status in normal running and the fault code with description when tripped. Codes use the same F/L scheme; note the exact code and any accompanying text.
Resetting a Ideal Vogue
Press and hold the reset control briefly; the boiler clears and retries. F1 wants a pressure top-up to 1–1.5 bar first. With warranties this long, the correct response to any recurring code on a registered Vogue is Ideal's warranty line rather than a paid repair — keep your service record current, as that is the warranty's condition.
Common Vogue problems
The Vogue's real-world code list is short: F1 pressure loss, winter L2 condensate freezes (routing, not build quality), and the occasional sensor code as installs age. Its stainless exchanger tolerates hard water better than aluminium rivals, but clean system water and the annual service still matter — both for the boiler and for keeping the long warranty valid.
