What does the Glow-worm Red LED Flashing fault code mean?

On Glow-Worm Betacom series boilers, a flashing red LED is the boiler's way of signalling an overheat condition. Unlike modern Glow-Worm models that show alphanumeric fault codes on a display, Betacom boilers use LED indicators to communicate faults. It is important to distinguish between two different red LED states: a solid (non-flashing) red LED points to low system pressure causing a lockout, whereas a flashing red LED specifically indicates the boiler has detected an overheat situation and has shut itself down as a safety precaution.
